Grief Guide

Death Doula

Rebirth Witch

You might think that My Story started when I faced my ex-husband’s death. However, through my choice to deeper explore my own Death & Grief Journey I found layers of untended Grief protruding from little Life losses, LIttle Deaths we face throughout our lifetime.

I felt a deep disconnect to my own mortality. I saw the sacred space of dying hidden, ripped from our view. I saw Death being treated as if they were contaminated and unnatural. I was torn, I started dwelling in a liminal space, walking the edge of two realms.

While choosing to explore my own Death & Grief messages a passion started growing inside of me. I began tending and seeking my truths.

I completed a 200HR YTT with Detroit Yoga Lab and 35HR Restorative Yoga with Lizzie Lasater. I  became certified in Reflexology and Reiki II + holy fire. Then a dive into training as a Death Doula with LifeSpan Doula out of Ann Arbor, MI. Followed by studying  Death Priestesxing with Way of The Weaver. I take away inspiration from numerous workshops from Woman Embodiment & Holistic Somatic Educator Kimberly Johnson. My Grief + Ancestral Healing mentor, Shauna Janz at Sacred Grief, brings a soulful approach to the depths of Grief. I find the work and words of Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Ph. D. to be inspiring, empowering and soul moving.

We face many Deaths in our life. There is the sacred end of Life, the Death we speak of most frequently. There are also the smaller endings in life such as in relationships, adolescents, or in physique. I refer to them as the little deaths.

The Grief we hold for these endings, or deaths, are a result of our attachment level to them. It is the detachment and forming new relationships with the loss where grief forms.

When confronted with Death & Grief you may feel as if everything is crumbling. You can feel lost and disoriented wondering how to continue. You start to question yourself, your values, your relationships, your truths, your past, your present, your future.

Grief & Death can send you the messages you seek, they can send you forward with a more profound “knowing” in your life. Grief & Death can present life to you in a more delicate matter. You can find the joys of life and a connection to the collective while following the hidden meanings in your journey.

Tending to your grief like you would tend your garden. It is a daily practice, a lifetime dedicated to honoring yourself. The outcome can be beautiful and full of nourishment.
